Meeting Active Physics for the First Time

Welcome! A Five-Minute Introduction

Active Physics is a different species of physics course. It has the mechanics, optics, and electricity you anticipate, but not where you expect to find them. In a traditional physics course, we teach forces in the fall, waves in the winter, and solenoids in the spring. In Active Physics, students are introduced to physics concepts on a need-to-know basis as they explore issues in Communication, Home, Light Up My Life, Medicine, Predictions, Sports, and Transportation.
