LUML BookHome

The three chapters in Home revolve around the principles of energy and heat. In Chapter 1, students learn about energy transfer, solar energy,
the iterative process of engineering design and how to use collected data to refine designs. For the final assessment, students design and build model homes, taking into account heat transfer. In Chapter 2, students are given the challenge of planning an electrical appliance package for use
in various climates, given a restricted amount of electrical energy. In Chapter 3, students apply their knowledge of electricity, magnetism, and energy transfer, as they design and build an electric generator or motor.
