"One of the real strengths of this program is the use of technology, such as in the Chapter Challenges where the student is asked to create a web site or power point presentation. I have found that the students have felt real pride in their presentations.The students seem more motivated to learn and since motivation is higher I think that retention will be higher too." "Kids really love the activities of this program. It is very hands-on and current. They recognize its relevance and that has meaning to them. Also, it very effectively uses and integrates current technologies such as the Internet for research. "I'm using the cooperative learning model and I find that they like to work in groups. I think that they actually are learning more this way. At first they weren't used to presenting to the larger group their work, but now their confidence has grown and they enjoy it.
