Active Physics Curriculum for Ninth Grade
Students Purpose and Goal:
Break the typical academic sequence created in the 1800s of 9th grade biology, 10th grade chemistry, and for the few who made it that far, 11th grade physics. Our goal is to flip the sequence. Everything we do, from heating food to throwing a baseball, is about physics. The new sequence - putting physics first, allows students to logically build on concepts they have learned.
