The Curriculum Physics & Everyday Thinking (PET) and Physics Science & Everyday Thinking (PSET) are designed as a general college education science course.
Or, as an in-service program for practicing teachers.
The Curriculum includes:
- • a strong technology component
- • a focus on the theme of interactions,
describing them either in terms of energy
or forces
- • a focus on learning about learning with
activities on:
- Nature of Science (How Scientists’ Learn)
- Elementary Students' Learning
- PET/PSET students Learning About Their Own Learning
- • one coherent curriculum
- • a focus on four goals:
- Understanding of Physics / Physical Science Content
- Understanding the Nature of Science
- Understanding of Elementary Students’ Ideas
- Learning About Learning
